About Oak Coliseum
A better answer to a simple question: What the hell should I play?
About Oak Coliseum
Oak Coliseum started with a familiar problem: a player can spend years catching, building, trading, powering up, hoarding Stardust, burning Elite TMs, and filling a collection with hundreds of perfectly good Pokémon, only to open the Battle screen and wonder what the hell they're actually supposed to use. The answers are out there, scattered across rankings, simulators, spreadsheets, videos, forums, Discord servers, and enough matchup tables to make a sane person quietly close the browser and go do something else.
I figured there ought to be a better way. Oak Coliseum looks at the Pokémon you actually own, the moves they actually know, and the competitive environment they are actually walking into. Then Oak Coliseum sorts through the noise and recommends teams built from your collection. Different structures. Different strategies. Clear reasons for every recommendation. No lectures, no homework assignment, and no need to become a full-time theorycrafter just to play five battles before dinner. Bring what you've got. Oak Coliseum will help find what works.
Oak Coliseum is built and maintained by Adam Warner. Recommendations are produced from defined scoring rules and published PvP data, then measured against the Pokémon in your saved roster.
How Oak Scores Teams
To see these scoring rules applied to Pokémon you own, see the Team Optimizer.
The data behind a recommendation
Oak Coliseum uses the current published PvP data release. The release date and tracked-meta list are shown with each recommendation. Source data comes from PvPoke.
What Oak considers
Oak considers forms, moves, CP, IVs, role rankings, team structure, and the tracked meta. Each recommendation is an ordered Lead, Pivot, and Closer rather than three interchangeable picks.
What a score means
A score is a comparison tool, not a promise of battle results. It ranks teams available from your roster and helps make their tradeoffs easier to see.
What Oak cannot know
Oak cannot predict player decisions, lag, energy advantages, alignment, shield scenarios outside the displayed analysis, or a future meta. Recommendations are a starting point for testing and refinement.

Questions, feedback, problems, ideas, brilliant suggestions, and reports of something behaving in a way it absolutely should not are all welcome.
Oak Coliseum is still growing. Hearing what works, what doesn't, and what players wish existed helps determine where it goes next.
